How do you change the speed sensor circuit in a 2000 Ford Excursion?

I need to change the speed sensor circuit in 2000 Excursion. Is this something easy to change or do I need to have a mechanic do? And soon does this need to be fixed? Immediately or when can?

The sensor should be on the side of the transmission, but it needs to be tested before you replace it.
Could be a problem inside the transmission.

Have A 2000 excursion hade the hubs replaced and now have the ABS light going on off?

The ABS wheel speed sensors are on the hubs. Check the cable connectors are not loose and properly connected. Possibly one of the sensors might have been damaged when the hubs were replaced.

2000 ford excursion gearbox

it would seem that your vehicle has a computer issue, by that i mean that it is sensing a problem in your drivetrain and is trying to compensate for it. you could have a faulty engine speed sensor,a defecti9ve trans control module or something internal in the transmission it'self you should take it to a shop and have them connect it to a diagnostic scan tool this will tell them exactly which sensor or module is bad. please rate this
