SOURCE: replace door handle and lock 08 dodge charger

check that all screws have been removed from door. Hidden screws often found behind reflectors in door. Use prying tool and gently pull bottom of door panel away from doorm on/in door handle and near mirrow within door jam. Lay on the ground and look between the door and panle. You can usually see the plastic clips holding the door in place. Once bottom is loose you should be able to lift the door up and off of the door. Watch for power window and lock wires when removing. If manual windows, slide a rag behind window crank and move back and forth to remoce clip which holds crank on.

My rear door lock makes a weird sound when power lock in gauges

sounds like the actuator on the rear lock unit is on its way out if it doesnt come seperate from the door lock itself you will have to replace the full unit ,or if you can strip the rear door pannel and you can see the arm of the actuator you could try an oil it if its accessable but it wont last forever

You need to take off the door panel, and replace the latch assembly which should come with the actuator. If the actuator comes seperatly, you can just replace it for cheaper.
