sounds like the ground strap to me, it wouldn't be that the wires are in the wrong order that would still give you spark just to the wrong cylinder and believe me you'd know immediatly in that case.

No spark means no contact to the coil plain and simple..

The firing order for a Chevy s10 depends on which engine you have. 1.9L engine the firing order is: 1-3-4-2 . Distributor rotates counterclockwise. 2.0L engine the firing order is: 1-3-4-2 . Distributor rotates clockwise. 2.5L engine the firing order is: 1-3-4-2 . Distributor rotates clockwise. 2.8L engine the firing order is: 1-2-3-4-5-6 . 1/ Have you fitted the spark plug leads in the proper firing order.
2/ Look inside the top of distributor Top (this is not the first time a new distributer cap has very small crack) or the rotor arm is fitting the cap properly. Hope this helps Best Wishes, Malcolm Campbell.

Replace the spark plugs and wires along with a distributor cap and rotor. Be careful to leave the old wires and plug wires connected to dist.cap, just remove dist. cap from the distributor and lay aside with plug wires on it then install rotor then new cap and proceed to replace each wire for cap and spark plug one at a time so you don't mix up the spark plug wire firing order. Cap laying to the side is used for reference purpose.

1993 ecilpse 1.8 eng no spark. there is 12v at the dist

So you have voltage at the distributor and the rotor is turning. Check for voltage at the end of each plug wire. If you do not have voltage there you are loosing it in the wire or the cap. Is the cap new? Are cap and rotor new?
Just be sure you have voltage at every point between the distributor and the plugs.
Good luck!

No spark from dist power in none out new dist

Check the rotor, and the coil inside the distributor. Check the distributor cap for any cracks and the rotor. Be sure that the wires , spark plugs are good. And that the distributor is marked when you remove it to make sure the timing is right. there have been cases where the shaft that goes into the oil pump fro the distributor has not engaged into the pump.
