Question about Honda Accord

Check engine light

When I run a diagnostic on my 98 Accord, it says I have a problem with my H20s. I have replaced it and reset the computer. The check engine light comes back on after a mile or so.

Remove the sensor and remove the anti seize from the threads and in the hole and reinstall. O2 sensors are supose to be installed dry for the best ground.

Diagnostic Codes

If they are old, just replace them. I know $75 a pop is a bit pricy, but dont just buy one. Buy a set if the ones your replacing are old. If one is going out, the other is shortly behind. I dont really have a preferance so choose at your own will.

98 honda accord how to clear check engine light car is fixed

You need an OBD-II scantool to reset the Check Engine light. Places like Autozone will read your codes for you but most will not reset the Check Engine light because of liability issues. You need to either purchase a code reader with reset capability or find someone who has one to do it for you.

Take it to Autozone. They will diagnose it for free, and they won't make you buy the parts there.

Infinit check light on

HI, the best thing to o in this situation is to go to auto zone or your dealership for a diagnostic run. this will check the cpu for faults and it will describe the problem as well. after the diagnostic cpu is done, it will reset the check engine light. it will turn it off. I suspect maybe a O2 sensor or EGR valve malfunction.

Honda accord 2003 v6

If you live near an AutoZone they used to offer free check engine light diagnostics.
See what code they can retreive from the computer with their device and check it against the list of codes. It may not just be a missing Gas cap code. There are hundreds of codes computers can return.

Best Wishes.

98 Accord Standard

You cant solve the problem without knowing what is causing the light to come on. Run the car through a code scanner then you can get some help.
