Check the bulbs with an ohm meter or other functional test method. If they are still showing good and light up then check the bulb sockets for power at the pins, if no power at sockets and rear chassis gropunds are good follow the wiring harness up to the cab and look for damaged wiring, if none is found you could have a defective turn signal switch or 4 way flasher circuit..

Brake light wont work. Both switches ok. Glob ok checked earth straps ok .??????

The best way to troubleshoot this is with a multimeter or test light. If you have a test light, you connect one end to the battery negative, and then progressively work along the wiring until you find the fault. You need to have the brake pedal pressed down so the brake light switch is turned on. Some cars have the brake light switch in the positive wire, and some in the negative wire so you will have to work this out with your test light.

Why doesn't the high level brake light work?

High level brake light is connected , in parallel with, all other brake/stop lights.. It is not on a separate fuse, so, check, or replace the other stop lights.
Or could be a bad ground on brake lights, but not on high level light.

Brake light is working but not the tail light?

There are three fuses involved.
There is a 25 amp fuse before the brake switch located in the fuse box under the hood. Then there are two 15amp fuses after the brake switch in the box inside the cabin. One is for the lower brake lights and the other is for the high mount light and the trailer connector.
You would need to know if the 15amp fuse for the lower lights has power when the brake pedal switch is applied.

Holden captiva lx brake lights not working

It is common for the plastic brake light switch to get jammed or brake. Remove and make sure small centre rod moves. To remove just turn and release light a light bulb. If switch fails it will prevent brake lights and can also prevent gear selector to move and also make brake pedal feel spungy.
