Theres really no guide to tell you how to hook up each water, fuel, and vaccum line. The best way to avoid this is to mark your lines before they are removed. The only way I can think to help you is to send you to your local salvage yard and find your car with the same engine. Take a camera and take several snapshots of the lines that you need to replace. The only problem with this is that most cars will have several parts removed, making it more difficult to try to find your way back

This is a problem with your fuel mixture, it is getting too much oxygen. It could be a problem with a vaccum leak, fuel filter, fuel pump, or fuel injectors.

A good way to test vaccum leaks is to: start the engine, spray carberator cleaner around the vaccum lines. if you suddenly hear a difference in the engine (RMS shoot up) then not only have you figured out if you have a vaccum leak, but you also know where it's at. Carb cleaner is basiclly a potent fuel so you'll hear the engine run stronger if sprayed directly into the vaccum line.

If you dont find that it is a vaccum line, I'd clean the fuel injectors and replace your fuel filter. If this doesn't fix your OBD problem, then it's still good to know that they are nice clean and new, neither are real expensive either.

If you dont like to keep your car full on gas, it is most likely your fuel pump. The pumps have to work harder and harder with the less and less gas you have in the tank. Also, if you have a standard tranny you are more likely for the fuel pump to go out because the revs are higher.

Let's not hope it is the Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF) because they can be costly and a pain to replace.

When I try and remove a diskrotor there are 2 srews to undo, though they burr too easily. if i drill them out do i need toreplace them. No one knows why they use the screws int he first place. Anything you...

You don't need to replace them, all they do is hold the rotor on when it is going down the assembly line so they don't fall off. Either use a impact driver to remove them or drill them.

If its non turbo it really does not matter which vacuum line you use as long as it feeds to the manifold. I'd use one thats conveniently located, if its turbo you'll have to install a one way valve in the line to stop boost from escaping into your lubricant.

Engine stops as soon as gas peddle is released.

It sounds like that when they tuned up the vehicle they may have broken a vaccum line on the motor. What you need to do is check all the vaccum lines on the motor and look for one that is off or is still on and has a crack running down the side on it. This happens quite frequently on older vehicled where the lines have dried out from age and you move them and they crack without you even knowing. The other option is that when they tuned the car up they lowered the idle too much and it worked ok while there but in a few days the ports for the idle start to clog back up and then the car stalls at low idle. My bet would be that you have a vaccum line that is either off or cracked. Good Luck, RAC
