Car wont start, has spark, has fuel pressure.found antifreeze in intake boot.

Replace the spark plugs and start it. They are fouled out. But antifreeze in the intake is not a good sign. Do a compression test first. If good, then look at intake gaskets. No year make or model.

Put new fuel filter still (starts) wont run.my fuel rail is bone dry is this a bad fuel pump? can I change just tha pump its a lot cheaper??? checkd fuse`s an relay already to

You must do first in order to check if you pump is ok, remove the fuel out hose of the pump and start you car and if there's no fuel mean either the hose or the pump have problem but it there's a fuel flowing then your problem are in the fuel distributor (like if your car has carburetor or Electronic fuel injection EFI) your car wont work if this parts were malfunction. Or you have to do is Try to cover the air intake by your palm and start the engine, the action wont be pumping of the intake like cover in second and open the intake them your palm must be wet if not the pump or the hose have problem. Hope this will solve your problem

Fuel injected or throttle body injection? Make sure its getting fuel delivered all the way to the intake.

My 99 pontiac grand am wont idle or start i changed head gasket and intake manifold gaskets

First thing I would do is a compression test on cylinders, then fuel pressure test. Make sure your starter relay is good. If it is cranking over but not firing could be fuel relay, fuel pump, and could be as simple as a vapor lock. Spray some starter fluid in the intake, if it fires up for a couple seconds, then tells you not getting fuel, and this narrows down the search to the fuel pump relay, fuel pump.

Now your statement is YOUR CAR wont start or idle, as you can tell that is two different things. Which one is it, wont start at all? or starts then dies because it wont idle?If it wont start, then check the things I just advised, if it wont idle, then that could be plugs, coils, idle arm, fuel filter possibly clogged. List goes on and on. Need to know little more detail of what exactly it is doing, and what you have already checked or tried for me to dissect it down more direct with trouble shooting. I can help you for sure, just little more info needed, or you can go through the list I just said and it will I am sure fix problem once you check and repair or replace as you come across that problem area that is not functioning proper. Thanks Mike

Have a1998 astro van that wont start until I spray starting fluid in the throttle body, then starts up and runs fine until about two hours later I go to start it back up and it wont start again.PLEASE HELP...

The first thing you need to check is fuel pressure. This type of fuel system requires a minimum fuel pressure of 56 psi to start. Anything less, even as little as 1psi. And it will not start. It starts and runs when you add the starting fluid because the poppets (the mechanical injectors located at each cylinders intake runner) require less fuel pressure to operate when the intake is under vacuum.

This is a classic symptom of low fuel pressure. A new fuel pump is the typical fix for this problem. Don't skimp on quality if you do need a new fuel pump. They are not all the same.

1993 honda acord wont start there is fuel going to the intake but wont start and if i tried to put fuel directly in the intake tried to start to wath can i do ???

Did you check the spark? Pull a plug and reconnect it to the wire and lay it on a piece of metal away from the piston hole, (flame thrower) And click it over to see if it sparks. If no spark, you have a bad coil or coil pack. You should be able to find one in a junk yard, don't go out and buy a new one, it could be something else. Like low oil, fuel pump, ignitor, etc. If it sparks, squirt a little fuel into the spark plug hole and fire it up and see if it fires that way. Have to narrow this down to something. Check it out, hope this helps.

Wont start unless you pour gas into intake

Time for a fuel pump, but make sure chg. fuel filter and do a fuel pressure test. Thats the only sure way of knowing if its the pump is by the test.

Totally rebuilt top end wont start

Dheck all your ground straps. Also, check your fuel pressure regulator with a pressure gauge. But if you have one ground off it can cause the car to overfuel. Hope this helps. Phil
