There could be alot of problems if the AWD lights comes it could either
transmission oil is old or the oil filter is dirty ,these interact with onboard
computer and produces false signal which causes the car to be AWD mode
or this could be the problem with selector switch ,first try to replace the oil and check if its AWD light goes......

By disconnection one of the battery wires...if it is a side post, you will need to go to your auto parts store and get a post that screws in so you can attach the charger cable...the reason that you don't charge with everything hooked up is because you can get a surge and damage the components in the computers.

Testimonial: "Wire "+" connect to "positive (+) jump starting terminal" or to terminal " + " battery?"
On most cars after 2000 it is recommended to keep a minimum of 9 volts in the system when disconnecting the battery.
You can buy a 9 volt battery unit to plug into your lighter socket.
Otherwise....if you have a battery charger....attach it to the alternator output and put it on its lowest setting....that should keep voltage in the numerous memory circuits while you change the battery.
When changing the battery.....(removing voltage from the system) it's a 50% chance of putting the radio into theft mode.
The codes to take it out of theft mode are available online.....just google.
