You may have a defective ignition/starter switch. Have it checked.

Put key in.. gauges work.. have power.. wont start.. its not clicking.. i think maybe a relay for the starter, not the starter it's self.. 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo I-6.. your oppion?

I THINK YOUR RIGHT! CHECK FUSES AND RELAYS FOR POWER ALSO IF THE POWER SUPPLY TO STARTER IS NOT A GOOD CONNECTION THEN IT WILL FAIL TO EVEN TRY TO START. GOOD LUCK!

try to put the transmission in neutral and start it, this will eliminate the problem from the neutral safety switch.
if the car still won't start then go to the starter with a test light
connect the test light to a good ground or negative post on battery
touch the light on the small wire on the starter and have some one try to start the engine
if the light lits then the starter is bad
if the light is not lit then the ignition switch

Ibiza tdi won't turn over when a try to start it. Battery has charge, whats wrong?

try checking your starter motor has not jammed, if it is manual, put it in gear and rock the car backwards and forwards and then try it again, if that doesn't work maybe your starter motor it's self may need changing or repair, hope this helps
