    an aftermarket alarm can be removed completely from the vehicle. without seeing it i would just be guessing as to how to tell you to remove it but i would look for a black box under the drivers side of the dash that can be disconnected from the ignition system

Here's some info as it sound like the theft deterrent is armed.

---
Reset Procedure

NOTE: This information applies to a Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS) that was armed when the battery was disconnected and reconnected.

When the armed VTSS senses that the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, it enters its power-up mode. In the power-up mode the alarm system remains armed following a battery failure or disconnect. If the VTSS was armed prior to a battery disconnect or failure, the system will have to be actively or passively disarmed following a battery reconnection.

The power-up mode will also apply if the battery goes dead while the system is armed and battery jump-starting is attempted. The engine no-run feature will prevent the engine from starting until the alarm system has been actively or passively disarmed.

Passive disarming of the Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS) occurs when the vehicle is unlocked using the key to unlock either front door or the liftgate. Active disarming of the VTSS occurs when the vehicle is unlocked by depressing the Unlock button of the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter.

Once the alarm has been activated (horn sounding, lights flashing, and the engine no-run feature), either disarming method will deactivate the alarm.

Depressing the Panic button (if equipped) on the RKE transmitter will also disarm the VTSS, but the horn will sound and the lights will flash for about three minutes as part of the Panic feature. The horn and lights can be stopped by pressing any of the RKE transmitter's buttons or driving the vehicle above 15 mph.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

Two things that may cause this issue. A faulty alternator or a bad battery. The battery can be faulty that's why it's not holding charge. The alternator can be faulty as well that's why it's not giving proper current to the battery. You will have to replace them to resolve the problem.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

It seems that the car alarm will 'silently' be activated and we are never aware of it going off. All it seems to do is to drain the battery. How can I disconnect this?

If you wish to permanently shut down your factory security system, you will have to ground the factory disarm wire to the vehicle body, negative, any bare metal surface. The wire's color and location is listed below;

The battery dead, when I wanna jump the battery the alarm system run,why ? how can I stop the alarm system ?

Basically that battery is completely dead so when you try to jump it it turns the alarm back on. U gotta buy a new battery and when you install it immediately hit the disarm button and you should be ok. If it doesnt turn off you may want somebody with you to help putting the car in the on postion as soon as you connect the battery to turn off the alarm. Also try putting the key in the door and manually unlock the door with the key to disarm the battery

Key fob wont disable alarm on hyundai coupe

One day my Hyundai Coupe 2002 2.0 car alarm would not dis-arm. The remote was flashing but not turning the alarm off. I replaced the batteries and had the remote signal tested, but still the alarm would not dis-arm. There are no switches to flick off, no reset button and there was no way off cutting power to the alarm. The only solution was to take it to a Hyundai dealer ( with alarm siren sounding and lights flashing ) and have them disarm it. It took one guy almost 3 hours to disarm it, and cost me £150 ! I knew the guy at the garage, so that was with discount. The alarm is a joke and should not have been fitted in the first place by Hyundai!
