The belts on most modern vehicles are tensioned automatically. So if you have nose you must get the tensioner pulley checked and the belt checked for wear. Since you gave no make or model or year that is about all i can offer here in advice.

My 1998 crown victoria steering is making a skweeky sounds when i make turns

This indicates an issue with the power steering system. First, locate the power steering fluid resevoir under the hood. Then open it and check the fluid level. If that is low, check your vehicle manual for the correct type of fluid to add. Also, take a look at the belt that goes around the power steering pump pulley-If the belt is loose, or otherwise in bad shape, It will make a squealing sound as it slips on the pulley. If the vehicle has a serpentine belt, or one belt that winds around all the accessory pullies and is loose, the serpentine belt tensioner may be failing. If none of these things are present, the problem most likely lies in the power steering pump itself, and it will need replacement. Good Luck!

Car squeeks when turning the stearing wheel

check whether you have a loose steering belt. Open the bonnet and go by the belts side and check the tension of the steering belt which is very easy to check as it is the one fitted closer to the radiator front .If it is loose then tight it by using a 12mm ring spanner and loose the nut of the tensioner which is lower of the power steering pulley in front of the timing belt cover and by using a T-10 tool turn the bolt which is behind the tensioner and easy to see,until the belt is tight.After do so remember to tight the nut of the tensioner and start the car.

Driving home from work power steering stopped working and 2005 dodge caravan overheated

Check your drive belt under the hood. There is one belt that drives everything if it is broken or loose you will loose power steering,alternator, A/C, and possibly the water pump. If the belt is intact but loose the tesioner is probably the problem.

My car is overheating and the power steering isn't working I noticed my belt I think its the the Water pump drive belt the pulley closest to the front of the car is loose, in turn making the belt loose,...

Yes, the serpentine belt runs all those pumps. Water , power steering, alternator ,ect. If its loose have the tensioner and belt checked out and replaced.

Belt squeals and it is hard to steer.

check to see if the belt is loose, if it is a sepentine belt, [one that is routed for your power steering , air conditioning, and pulleys it just might need replaced, also chech to see if the tensioner pulley has not lost some of it's tension. ]

After driving over 60 mph, steering gets difficult. On slight turns in that speed on the freeway, steering starts to **** then gets loose, constantly. What should I do?

Check your power steering fluid when hot. If that's ok, then I would suspect the belt slipping. Check the condition of the serpentine belt. If it's loose or shows signs of wear or aging, replace it with a new one.

Squeaky belts, maybe something with steering?

if the belts are loose,the power steering pump could be loading the belt in cornering.check the belts.And if you are twisting the belt ,the deflection should not be more than 20 degrees,if it is the belt should be
tightened.

How do I change the serpentine belt on a 1998 Buick LeSabre, 3.8

My friend;
Try this;
  1. Check the belt pulley may have attaching tension bolts (Nuts), etc.
  2. Loose the belt pulley attaching tension bolts (Nuts), etc.
  3. Normally there are three bolts & or nuts u need to loose to allow u swivel the pulley side way.
  4. Once loose, swivel the pulley side way.
  5. Mostly, you don't have to remove the bolts & or nuts completely.
  6. You may need to remove other serpentine belt to reach the power steering belt.
  7. Removing those other belts work same as the power steering belts or other belts.
