How is battery grounded in the 2005 nissan altima? Found out it is a standard 12v battery, but manual has almost no information about the battery, or electrical system.

SOURCE: my 1996 nissan altima wont

Cables from alt to battery can be deposited/burned/oxidized. In this case battery wont get charged. Also check the alternator connections. Cable might be burned or not tight enough
Also serpentine belt might be not tight enough
Good Luck

most of the time on nissans the driver window has a seperate relay by itself. look for that. next check for debris in the channels, it is possible that the switch is bad also.

My 1999 Altima does not start. I tried to give it a jump, but no sign of electricity is seen anywhere even after you connect the jump cables to a running car...please help

Try putting the booster cables on this way:positive to positive from the jumper vehicle to yours, the negative of the jumper car to a good clean ground on your engine block. If it starts now then you need to locate and clean the ground to the block and the cable ends.If it still does nothing then remove the cables completely from your battery and try again,if your battery is bad enough all the boost power is wasted trying to charge a battery that will not accept it.If it starts now,get a battery. If all the above fails then you need to replace the starter.

2002 nissan altima wont crank?

Check the transmission neutral start inhibit switch is not the cause of your problem. (try both 'P' to 'N' positions).
If the headlights work ok there should be enough power in the battery to at least make a solenoid type noise when start is attempted- so it may not be caused by a faulty alternator.
Check the battery terminals are clean and firmly attached to the battery,
Check battery is properly grounded to the chassis and motor,
Check that +12v is available at the starter motor engage solenoid when the ignition switch is held in the 'start' position - check any start slave relay operation.
If all above is OK, you may have a faulty starter motor.

Engine code U 1000 on a 2005 Nissan Ultima

It's possible that it could be a loose battery cable, or maybe some sort of grounding issue with the wiring harness. Try cleaning all grounds and securing the battery posts. Check for faulty battery. Get yourself a good factory manual, you can get one from promanuals.net for cheap.

Battery is not holding a charge on my 2003 Nissan Altima.

You might have a parasitic drain on your battery. Meaning something isn't shutting off like it should be draining your battery. Your positive battery cable might be shorted to ground not allowing power to flow.
