The best place to connect the wiring is behind the left trim in the boot, there is a grey socket which has all that you need except the fog which can be located in the wiring loom to the left light unit.

If you have a wired tow hitch on your car you will need to mate this to the wiring harness on the tow bar. If the two wired units do not match then you will either need an adapter or will need to rewire the tow dolly or the car. If the car doesn't have a tow light unit installed you will need to install one that will mate to the tow bar light unit.

take it to a panel repair shop and have the body checked around the tow bar area and rear end suspension points for loose spot welds, cracked body floor panels, loose towbar bolts etc
to get any noise there has to be something moving, stretching or cracking so a very close inspection should be made

I also have made similar experience with my CRV-2007. I made the warning light disappear by taking off the battery power for some hours, starting up and driving a short tour with the car.

I dont know this particular model but if you go to a caravan sales pitch ,they usually have the wiring diagrams at the back of their caravan brochures. You could always tell them that you,re interested in getting a caravan but dont know if your car can be wired for one.Also try towbar sellers, they always give out the diagrams. Hope this helps.

You can get an adapter that fits in to the 13 pin socket that give you a 12N socket, easily available on E-bay
