Haahha . I happen to work at autozone because of a series of misfortunes, like someone stealing 65k in Tools. I happen to be a master ASE with light diesel and advanced performance cert to boot...and IMACA on Top of that.. It's a good company, yes you will find nuggets there but there not as bad as the advice
I see from this site...

FIRST AND FORMOST do not listen to any advice the totally unqualified parts guys hand out at Autozone or any other free code reader parts store, they want to sell you parts and that is all.

P0222 VOLKSWAGEN - Throttle Pedal Position Sensor/Switch 'B' Circuit Low
Possible causes- Throttle position sensor harness is open or shorted
- Throttle position sensor poor electrical connection
- Faulty Throttle position sensor
When is the code detected? An excessively low voltage from the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) is sent to Engine Control Module (ECM).

P0121 VOLKSWAGEN - Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch 'A' Circuit Range/Performance
Possible causes- Faulty throttle position sensor
- Throttle position sensor harness is open or shorted
- Throttle position sensor circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM) When is the code detected?Malfunction is detected when an excessively low or high voltage from the sensor is sent to ECM.

Have the VW dealer complete the diagnosis on this.

SOURCE: is it possible to adjust a throttle position sensor on a 2000 montero sport?

when your vehical throws a code and you replace the defective part, you must clear the code or the ecm will still recognize it as an active code.

SOURCE: What is the Proper Way to DEGREASE my ENGINE @ Car Wash Degreaser

You should not have any problem if you don't concentrate on the electrical components. What i mean is stay away from them as much as possible, and don't use alot of pressure wear you can blow things off. Myself i do it at home with a can of degreaser and a garden hose, If you do it at a car wash take a can of WD40 with you incase it stalls or wont start after you do it,WD40 displaces moisture, you would be better off doing it in your own driveway if your aloud too. You can wash any part you want. watch your paint on car, some of that degreaser can take off paint.

SOURCE: code p0121 TPS

THERE IS A TP SENSOR BUILT INTO THE THROTTLE ACTUATOR. THESE TRUCKS HAVE BEEN KNOWN FOR A FEW PROBLEMS IN THIS AREA. THROTTLE ACTUATOR IS NOT SERVICEABLE. THE THROTTLE BODY WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED IF IT IS PROVEN FAULTY. THE APP SENSORS ARE LOCATED IN THE GAS PEDAL MODULE. THESE SEND SIGNAL TO COMPUTER TO TELL IT WHERE YOUR FOOT IS, THEN COMPUTER SENDS COMMAND TO THROTTLE ACTUATOR TO OPEN OR CLOSE THROTTLE BASED ON THIS INPUT. THE SENSOR IN THE THROTTLE ACTUATOR DELIVERS A MESSAGE BACK TO THE COMPUTER TO TELL IT WHAT THE ACTUAL THROTTLE POSITION IS. IF THESE SIGNALS DONT MATCH(WHERE THROTTLE IS COMMANDED AND WHERE IT ACTUALLY IS)THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL ILLUMINATE AND THE VEHICLE COULD GO INTO A REDUCED POWER MODE. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU!

You probably need to replace your throttle position sensor. Both of those are failure codes for that part (circuit A / B, TPS sensor) .

Volkswagon golf, my oil light comes on after an hour driving saying oil press......stop engine, had it in garage and they can find nothing wrong with it

Only two things:Change engine oil with recommended by the manufacturer depence of the mileage.Of course also oil filter. After that connect service oil pressure gauge to the engine oil truck and check the oil pressure. If OK change oil pressure sensor.

Engine has old oil in many places--cannot see where leak is--how do you properly wash off an engine?

u either rent a pressure washer or buy engine degreaser from the local parts store and use a pressure nozzle on a garden hose, let the degreaser sit for 20 minutes to do its job before washing it off, aviod ignition system components with direct spray.
