Question about 2004 Ford Focus
Ok not quite sure what's going on as a few things seems to have happened may all be related and may not so bare with me. 1st the air con selection light is illuminated ever time you turn the heaters on (hot/cold-1/2/3/4,setting is irrelevant!! 2nd the clock on the centre console / stereo, will not sync with the rds setting only on manual, plus no matter how many times I set it, once I turn the car off. When I next use it be it 5 mins or 5 days they clock and date has all changed?! 3rd this is the biggie. The car started to become hard to start like it was struggling, lights on dash would light up fine with a single turn in iginiton but when you turn again to start they would like flicker and can hear lots of 'ticking' I think from fuse box near glovebox. Either way I always manage to get her going, then one day with earn gear change up after accelerating the car would like 'jump' immediately after I re applied the accelerator after the gear change (this has not happened since!). Then the red immobiliser light illuminated and a warning message displayed something like 'major engine fault' or something lie that! The car never entered cheap home mode and drove me home as well as poss. Since then I've never seen that message again or the gear jump sensation but the immobiliser light now illuminates almost every time the car is started with constant flashes then a single flash - blank - followed by three flashes - then blank. This repeated approx 10 times. Can anyone help?

SOURCE: I have a 2007 MB
if this vehicle is a europeon market version then you cannot drag any codes from it and on some models connecting a code reader will only throw the immobilisor on ,as this is classed as ilegal access to the OBDII which renders the car imobilised .Its a merc remember and i have had all this in the past ,it could have had a wet something or a dirty contact somewhere but knowing ??? Some vehicles come into limp mode even if a bulb is out and can only be reset by the dealer :So i would advise you contact the merc dealer and let them have a look for you .
