Where is the engine cooling fan switch on a 2002 cavliar

If your engine cooling fan motor is not working first check the maxi fuse
under the hood in the fuse box. If the fuse is burnt out then more that likely the cooling fan motor is drawing to much and will also need to be replaced.

2002 rover 75 cooling fan not working

The thermistor is possibly located closer to the engine. I would check the fan for power first. If the fan is receiving power, but won't turn then you are looking at the more likely possibility that the fan motor has failed. Moving components tend to fail more readily than non moving resistive types such as the thermistor.

2002 Mini non S cooling fan not working, No power at the relay on terminal 30 but has power at 87

Hello there, i think i can solve your problem , check fuse 3 under the hood it should be a 5 amp if its not the check the closest 5amp to that, check to see if it blown if it is blown then your power steering fan is now working as well as the cooling fan, if that is the cause you will need to replaced the power steering fan as well as the 5 amp fuse, and also in addition you will need to sepate the power steering fan from the cooling fan. Mini parts sells a harness to separte the 2 fan

My 2002 Montana Van will over heat while idling, once I start driving the temperature gauge will come back to normal. I checked under the hood and the coolant in the reservoir is boiling and the electric...

These fans should turn on at about 220 degrees, give or take a couple, and then turn back off at about 210 degrees.Fans should also come on when engine is idling with the a/c on [provided the a/c works of course] If the fan[s] isn't running and the gauge is over about 3/4 of the way or will go all the way to the end then odds are your fan's aren't capable of working for some reason. The classic symptoms of a cooling fan not working are what you are describing: Cools fine at highway speeds, overheats at slow speeds. I would start by checking the cooling fan fuses located in the underhood fuse panel. I believe they are marked Cooling fan 1 and Cooling fan 2 and both should both be 30 amp fuses. If the fuses are good then you might have problems with the fan motors themselves. Hope this helps you get it working again!
