I work in a transmission and torque converter remanufacturing plant and have seen this many times! I hate to tell you that your transmission is shot! There is metal in the fluid and some of it got caught in a solenoid not letting fluid through to shift the gears. You will need a rebuild! About $2500 dollars. Of course if you in Pittsburgh, Pa. area I could do it for about half that. Any questions e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org

Normally you can get the alarm to shut off by puttin ght key in the ignition or in the door and turning. The remote will need programed with the vehicle. Should run about 50.00 or so for service department to do this. My wife has a '99 cherokee and it did the same thing. I know the remote is the problem.

This sounds like a bad chip in the key, try a spare key, if it starts with spare key then key is bad, if it doesnt start then you will need reprograming

my jeep did the same thing. when you open the hood, on the right hand side of the engine, it was two small rubber hoses, the back hose came off, i think it was the air intake. it was only easy to fix, just push it back on, it should be a small clamp on it.
