Sounds like you have the stereo ground wired into the wire that dims the light on the factory stereo when the headlights turn on. Rewire stereo with proper ground, check all other wiring to insure it's done properly,replace blown fuses for lights & stereo. Should be good to go.

did u look at the fuses under the hood there might be one there other than that sounds like you wiring went bad or the part of your switch is bad replace the switch

The bezel around the radio and the two center a/c vents pops off pretty easily, just get a hook tool and start from a corner. Once off, there are 3 8mm bolts to be removed (2 on one side and 1 on the other side of the radio). Then just pull the radio out.

This is likely a short in the power distribution block located on your stearing column. There was a recall for this problem. Contact the dealer for information.
