Check for voltage at your brake switch. this switch is located at the top of your brake pedal. this is pretty easy to find. it will have 4 wires coming out of it on a gm vehicle. check for voltage. if there is no output, replace the switch. the brake wire is white at the switch. hook up your multimeter to the white wire. then depress the pedal. if you have 12 volts, the switch is good. if not, remove and replace the switch

I have a 1998 gmc sonoma my brake Lights dont work but everything else does except the right blinker changed bulbs didn't help

Check brake light fuse first. If ok, the brake light switch at the brake pedal may be defective. Try wiggling the switch to see if the brake lights work. If not, disconnect the wiring connecter and if it is just 2 wires cross them over and see if the brake lights come on. If they do, the brake light switch is bad. If wiggling the switch makes the brake lights work, I would suggest a brake light switch as well

I just installed led tail lights in my 2003 gmc sierra everything works but the brake lights any ideas?

First, verify that the brake lights work correctly with the old lights. If your blinkers work, the brake lights should work as well.
It is possible that your brake lights were not working previously. If they do not work, suspect a blown fuse or a defective brake light switch.

Lower brake lights no longer work on my 2002 chevy tahoe but the 3rd brake light works fine. Checked fuse and bulbs and everything works fine. Just the 2 lower brake lights dont work.

Most of the time the problem is in the turn signal switch. The third brake light circuit bypasses the turn signals.
Someone would need to check brake light power in and out of the turn signal switch.

My brake lights won't work in my AU Ford Falcon

On vehicles that use a common bulb for signal and brake lights the brake light circuit runs through the signal switch. A problem in the signal switch can cause the brake lights not to function. Also check your Emergency flasher switch. Hope this helps.
