''85 chevy k30 turn signal problem

I think you need to pull the stearing wheel and check switch. Looks like there is a short between the breaking system and the turn signal system. These both (Break and Turn) go through the switch. InMrFixIt

Right Turn Signal acts like the Emergency Flasher.

If you have an aftermarket trailer plug on your truck, you are going to want to inspect the wiring to the plug, and the connections in the plug. I think it's shorting out.

My left turn signal works sometimes, but not all the time.

Sounds like you have a short in the turn signal switch ( in the steering column). Depending on the different functions of this switch will determine the cost. If you have one that simply works the turn signals, then your looking at about $15. I believe yours should cost around $75 since it's a multifunction type. Installation time is about 20 minutes

your socket may not be grounded properly, I have seen this before, and the simplest way to fix is change the socket with a new one.Not another used one it may also be bad.
