How do remove the driver's side door handle which broke loose?

Remove plastic plate behind inside door handle, then remove 10 mm screw ,do the same for the door finger cup, pry out the rubber and remove the 2 10 mm screws. Now you can start prying off your door panel gently as possible so as not to break anything.

Shifter has excessive play the shifterdid not have that much excess play in it then all at once it has. Could there be a pin that holds the shifter in place that has either bent are slipped out of place?

Typically in a Ford stick-shift, you have the shifter handle that extends down into the transmission, and at the bottom of the shifter handle is a round ball with a peg sticking out of either side. This ball rides inside a plastic cup with notches to hold the pins, then another cup is placed on top with the notches pointed down, in essence making pivot points for the pegs on the shifter handle. In other words, a shifter sandwich. Spring washers are placed beneath and above the cups to maintain tension on the assembly, and it is all held in place by a metal retention plate that screws down to the top of the transmission. If you suddenly experienced excessive play in the shifter, it is a good chance one or both of these plastic cups has broken, allowing the alignment pins to travel freely. Unfortunately, most parts stores do not carry the items you need to repair this, but the last i checked, you can get them from the Ford dealership. Hope I was clear enough in my description and this helps in some way. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me by replying to this response. Have a good day!

The latch in the middle of the tailgate is (or was) connected to the two latched on both ends of the tailgate that held the tail gate closed. Over the years, the two wires have become detached from the two...

You have to remove the handle assembly and the latches. Working through the hole where the handle is, work the throught the edge of the tailgate and fasten to the latch assembly, then install the latch assembly. Once both latch assemblies are connected, reintall the handle assembly.

Trying to remove rear door handle on chrysler lhs 99

Hello, to remove and replace the rear door try the following:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery of your Chrysler LHS. You can accomplish this with an open end wrench, to prevent any injury or short in the electrical system as you are working on the door lock switch. Place the negative battery cable out of the way so it does not touch any metal parts.

2. Undo any screws that are holding the lower door panel to the door with a screwdriver. Unclip the plastic hold clips that are attached to the back of the panel by carefully pulling them away by hand.

3. Locate the electrical connector wires. These wires run behind the panel to the door arm rest and detach each wire connector by hand. Remember how the wires were attached so you can put them back the same way when it is time to reattach them.

4. Lower the door panel away from the door. Then, remove any screws holding the upper door panel in place. Remove the door handle pull cup that covers the door lock switch and door handle by carefully popping the cover off after you have removed the screws holding it in place.

5. Detach the upper door panel from the door. You can do this by pulling it away carefully from the plastic clips. Move the upper door panel out of the way and locate the door lock actuator switch. Remove the screws from the actuator switch that are holding it in place and disconnect the electrical wires attached to the back of the switch.

6. Replace the old door lock actuator switch with a new one. This replacement can occur by connecting the electrical wires to the back of the new switch and reattaching the switch to the door frame with screws. Put the upper door panel back in place, securing it to the door frame with plastic clips and screws.

7. Reattach the door handle pull cup to the upper door panel with screws. Then, put the lower door panel in place and reattach the electrical wires to the window switches underneath the armrest. Attach the lower door panel to the door frame with plastic clips and screws.

8. Attach the negative battery cable to the Chrysler LHS battery with the open end wrench.

How to remove interior door panel on 2004 ford expedition?

First pop off the door open handle back plate with a screwdriver. It just snaps on. Do the same with the switch cluster plate below which also snaps in place and remove the switch harness connectors. Next pop off the small narrow cover plate under the armrest pull handle to expose 2 Torx screws. Remove these screws. Next locate a Phillips screw in a retaining cup which is located on the end of the interior door panel just above the latching mechanism and remove that. Locate two 3/8" hex head screws at the bottom of the door panel and remove those. Grab the door panel by the armrest handle and pull up to unhook it from the door. If its the driverside door, you will also have to diconnect the mirror adjustment switch connector to free the door panel.

The light that illuminates the shifter position is out. Its an automatic transmission.

In the console shift, it is a light bulb in a holder.

Open the center console lid, and in the indent for the console cover / trim panel, pull up. The entire silver/gray colored cover ( where the cup holders are at ) will lift off.
You will see the light holder under the console trim plate ( the silver trim ring ).

My rear view mirror has fallen off the windshield and theres no set screw to remove the plate to reattach it to the windshield. 97 lumina

Mine fell off as well. There's a spring clip holding the mirror to the base need to get a $3 glue kit from Parts America or other parts shop, re glue the base plate, then mount the mirror / reattach the clip.
