Sounds like a failure in the multifunction switch that controls turn/high beam/low beam if it has a short or faulty contact those lights will not work properly all the time. heres a parts link http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/ACD0/C6245/01960.oap?year=1996&make=Dodge&model=Caravan&vi=1077881&ck=Search_combination%21s%21multi-function+switch_1077881_3661&keyword=combination%21s%21multi-function+switch

Your Hazard fuse is blown.
Hazard fuse has the instrument gauges on it in addition to the turn and brake lights.

When one of my brake lights went on my 07 Caravan it when short for a time and took out this fuse.

the flasher is under the dash on the drivers side that is definitely a possibility but it also could be a multifunction switch

On a 89 f150 all of a sudden I had no power to guages, turn sig, dash, replaced starte switch and still nothing. I'm lost need help to locate problem.

look in the positive battery connection. it splits in two, one goes directly to the starter and the other goes to the instruments and ignition, for the description of the problem. I'd say that's where the problem is.

Turn signals work but they don't return, how do I fix?

there's a little plastic piece inside the turn switch called a cancelling cam that broke or quit working. The only fix to get switch to return is replacing the turn signal switch. I don't think you can buy the part separately.

My 1999 Acura 3.2TL is experiencing problems with the gauges. They sporadically go nuts. I've found after the car is driven for a good while and restarted shortly afterwards the speedometer and gas...

The problem I have found on all models that experience gauge malfunctions 90% lead back to the ignition switch. The most used part in the car. What I have found is it is totally intermittent. Reason being that the switch has to heat up to malfunction. I couldn't guaranty this is your problem, but I have resolved alot of gauge problems with replacing the ignition switch. Hope this helps you and your mechanic

I would guess that the turn signal switch is worn out

You said they work some times,so the flasher is good

You need a repair shop i assume

After engine is warm ( V 6 ) sometimes, but not always, hesitates when trying to speed up and sometimes backfires. Dealer replaced coils and plugs but can't find the problem. 2005 lincoln LS

The spark plugs get replaced around 60,000 miles
& the L/S requires a special spark plug,also
premium fuel or it will knock

If you change plugs every 3 years, then that isn't the issue

Did they remove the upper intake manifold to do the right side
spark plugs?

You never have more then 1 bad coil a year, or sometimes
2 ,but never at one time

A dealer can not work on an L/S for some reason
I own a 2004 V8 & have no issues diagnosing these problems

The front 2 O2 Sensors ,the ones in the front of exhaust converter,
get slow & get replaced at 100,000 miles

You clean the MAF Sensor with CRC MAF Cleaner

A back fire could be a lean condition from a vacuum leak
That could be around the engine or in the EVAP System

Hopefully they checked the TPS Sensor

When I refer to check, I don't mean replace,I mean test &
use an oscilloscope to back probe the sensors, not continually
make love to their scan tools, actually get involved & see what
does work & how well, then you will eventually find something
that doesn't.

The EGR Valves fail on ford products quite offten

Need to check/test fuel pressure at rail on engine, even
road test with gauge taped to the windshield & take scan
tool along to collect data.

You got sometimes & when warm, that is what they should
be working off of
You don't go after a problem ,you find out how things are
doing that do work & the drivability issue will surface.

Dealers sometimes never even road test a car or long enough
So there you go,they won't find anything

Keep in touch,I have all the manuals etc if you give me more
symptoms

Recently bought a 1996 mitsubishi galant S a couple of weeks ago & the interior light was'nt working. Then it started working sometimes then it quit working again. The buzzer when the door was open...

Sound's like you have some sort of a short or an open, somewhere, i would first check your fuse box,
in your engine and in your dash with a test light. make sure all fuses are working, if you had an open or short it could be possible you blew various fuses with a certain surge of power..
Second.. if you have an aftermarket sterio and all said before turns out alright. then i would pull out and check the wiring in the sterio and all surrounding it, one could have been rubbing up on another bare wire or ground out.

good luck..
