Only the owners manual will tell you which fuse goes where. Borrow a manual from someone or go to the library and look it up.

Fuse to open the luggage lid for 2006 Chevrolet Malibu LS

The power block that includes the fuse and power relay for the power trunk lid are located inside the trunk. After you have opened the trunk lid (using a key), look at the left wall to locate the access flap that is cut into the trunk lining. The fuse block is underneath this flap. The 10 amp mini fuse for the power trunk lid is at location #22 and the mini power relay is at location #36. Check the schematic on the fuse block cover for exact locations.

Is there a trunk release without using trunk key

If the car was equipped with the electric remote trunk release the switch would be located in the glovebox, under steering wheel or inside the drivers side door trim. Check your owners manual for possible location. It may not have been an option for your car. If it wasn't an option you may be able to remove rear seat to access trunk to open trunk lid

Trunk on my malibu keeps clicking to open with no one around or touching anything. what to do

Step 1:

The year of your Malibu should not matter.

Step 2:

Locate the electrical fuse panel inside the passenger compartment. It should be located behind a plastic panel (kick panel) to the left of the drivers feet or to the right of the front passengers feet.

Step 3:

If you have your cars factory Owners Manual, it can assist you in locating the fuse panel. Once you have located the fuse panel and have removed the plastic cover, read the sticker that is attached to the back of the fuse panel cover. It should show you which fuse is associated with the trunk lock or trunk latch.

Step 4:

If this fuse is found, remove the fuse and determine if the trunk latch has stopped clicking. If you can not find the responsible fuse, you can do the following-

Step 5:

You can pull one fuse at a time until you find the one for the trunk latch (remember, a fuse often is responsible for more than one circuit), or

Step 6:

You can locate the back side of the in-cabin trunk switch, disconnect the connector that attaches to the switch and see if that stops the involuntary activation of the switch. If it does stop, you can safely conclude that the switch that you push to open the trunk will need to be replaced.

Step 7:

Where is the fuse for the trunk of 1997 caddillac deville?

If you are referring to the trunk lid pull down motor, the pull down switch is out of adjustment or bad. It is located on the main car body, not the lid.
