SOURCE: New Dodge Journey 2011 Where would

To start the Journey when the key fob battery is dead, use the fob itself by pushing the start button with the end of the fob opposite the emergency key. There is apparently some kind of proximity chip in the fob that, upon contact, will allow the vehicle to recognize the correct fob is present, even with a dead battery.

My 2009 Journey has built in Dvd. How do I plug a monitor into the back of it?

NOTE: REQ radios only must be put into "Transportation Mode" before removal. With Ignition in RUN or ACCESSORY, press SET and DISC simultaneously until the radio displays "TRANSPORTATION" on the display or for 5 seconds.
  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove the instrument panel center bezel.
  3. Remove the radio display mounting fasteners.
  4. Carefully pull the radio display out as necessary
  5. Remove the radio display from the vehicle.
You'll want to avoid removing any of the electrical connectors as most cars have an anti theft system that will require you to have your computer flashed at the dealer if they are disconnected.

My 2011 dodge Journey I have had for 3 days and the entertainment system in the center went competely black and now the speedometer reads in German

well take it to a dealer, not the one you swiped the car from, tell them you paid for it and ask for warranty service. they have a service department there and will fix most of the issues with the car for
the next 5 years at least and have tools and knowledge far beyond the folks on this board.

New Dodge Journey 2011 Where would the key enclosed in keyfob fit to start the vehicle if remote not working?

I just changed the battery in my fob for 2011 Journey Crew, with the battery removed ( from fob ) I did start my car by pushing the start button whith my fob... so the theory is tested and true.... also the battery you'll need is CR2032 available everywhere... and removing the battery will NOT remove the programming of your fob ( also tested )... so no need to visit the "steelership" Hope this helps....
