This happens to me all the time when I lose my key fob and have to use my valet key. You just relock and unlock the door again and the alarm stops.

My 1998 Acura CL key fob won't work to lock or unlock the doors, but the battery is good. Not sure what to try next.

these key fobs go bad often poeple think they just need programing but thats not the case, the board inside the fob sometimes the soider breaks free and doesnt make a good connection, the most common spot is where the battery contact are, take a good look at that area and you may be able to fix it by re soidering it, hope this helps.

When we use our key fob to lock the doors, i know we must use the key fob to unlock the doors to avoid the alarm from going off. Recently I parked in a parking garage at an airport (left key fob at home)...

You should be able to just unlock the door with the key, and even if the alarm is still going of try to start it the key should override the alarm.

Do you have a key fob? Unlock the car with that and you should be OK. My sons Elantra is the same way, you can only get in with the fob. I guess the car thinks it's being stolen otherwise. If you don't have a fob, I'm no help
