Vacum diagram for Nissian truck,1996 2.4 engine

Just rebuilt a 1996 nissian truck 2.4., At the time I had a helper and He pulled the engine for me. I asked Him several times to make sure He marked all vacum lines,or took pics. Well He is gone not showing up for work three days in a row. He still cant figure that one out either?? I was able to get about 70% of them on correctly by the hood emblem. Still like a few that it didnt show. Mainly around the map sensor and the ones around the passengers side of the throttle body.

OK. Since you have had so much trouble lets check the dealer for an updated software calibration for the PCM (power train control module). Once we're sure there is no "fix" here lets talk about "lean" engine conditions. Lean means one of two things are wrong with the air fuel mixture (ideally 14.7 parts air to 1 part fuel). 1. Too much air -or- 2. Not enough fuel. If you access to a scan tool we need to look at fuel trims. With the engine warm look at this data on the scan tool. You have a "bank 1" and "bank 2" fuel trim data. Additionally, each bank has a long term and a short term value. With the Engine hot and at idle add the LT and ST trim value for bank1 and write it down...do the same for bank2. Repeat this step, for EACH bank with engine at 2500 RPM in park (hold at 2500 for at least 30 seconds so trims update). Now, you have the total trim values for each bank at idle and at 2500 RPM. What should the values be? Total trim +/- 5 is good, +/- 10 borderline any thing greater is code setting territory. If trim numbers are high at idle and in range at 2500 rpm you have a vacum leak behind the mass air flow sensor. Or a faulty MAF. Pay particular attention to the air inlet hose clamps behind (between MAF and engine) the MAF. Also use ford parts only.

VACUUM DIAGRAMS (See Figures 1 through 85)

Below is a listing of vacuum diagrams for most of the engine and emissions package combinations covered by this manual. Because vacuum circuits will vary based on various engine and vehicle options, always refer first to the vehicle emission control information label, if present. Should the label be missing, or should vehicle be equipped with a different engine from the car's original equipment, refer to the diagrams below for the same or similar configuration.

I have a 1993 nissian truck with a 2.4l 4 cylinder engine and i also have a 1996 nissian truck with a 2.4l engine in it so why wont the same oil filter fit both engines since both have the 2.4l engine.

Probably the rubber seal is a different size. Go to the parts store and look at both filters side by side and mate them at the rubber seal and see if they are the same size. (most threads are 1/2") If they are then I personally would have no problem interchanging them. Their capacities maybe different but I would think that is negligable.

Oil and white smoke come from the tailpipe. it sputters and does not have a lot of power. is this cause there is water in the oil?

I would take the car straight to the dealer.
There is a Nissian technical bulletins out for this engine and Nissian has extended coverage for the engine. The engine has internal damage and Nissian is well aware of the issue.
