Question about 1993 Eagle Talon

5 Answers

I can not find the gauge or the dipstick so I can check my transmission fluid level in my 1993 Eagle Talon. Can you please tell me where to look for it. I have looked close to the firewall, and all throughout the engine, I have even looked under the car, and I can not find where to check the fluid level anywhere.

Hello,
I have a very dumb issue now with my 91 MPV: I removed the oil dipstick and now I can't find where to put it back :(
I can't find any documentation on this.

The air filter in this one is on the driver side. I am certain that it was on the passenger side. Time to go get a manual lol

Just my 2 cents here, but if you have a manual shift there shouldn't be any dipstick, dipsticks are for automatic transmission. I must say that i'm into trucks not car.

I have heard this a lot lately, It seems that a Few Manufacturers have chosen to Not install a Dipstick for the Tranny. They want you to come in to the Dealership for Service. I know it Sucks!

How do you put in a radiator for a 1993 eagle talon? can i do it myself?

here you go, start with draining the radiator fluid there is a valve on the front drivers side at the bottom of the radiator. undo both radiator hose from the engine. next disconnect the radiator fans. there is 2 radiator suports on the front support bar they should be a 10mm socket.when just lift it right out. p.s. if its an automatic there is 2 cooling hoses for the transmission.

WHERE DO I PUT THE TRANSMISION FLUID

you have to locate the tranny dip stick and pull it out- then get a funnel that will fit down the hole- and slowly pour in tranny fliud. check level by putting dip stick back in (allow time for fuild to drip down out of the tube) make sure engine is running and is warmed up while reading fluid level on dipstick. Make sure it is the tranny dip stick and not the oil dipstick. oil is usually yellow and says oil on it- Trans is usually red.

95 eagle talon was fine when i went to the store

You may be low on transmission fluid or the torque converter is going bad. Check automatic transmission fluid level with the car idling on a level surface.

The dipstick for the manual trans. on my 1992 Eagle Talon Tsi seems to be missing... Not having any luck searching for a replacement online

In my experience most vehicles having a manual transmission do not have a dipstick for the tranny. The gear oil in the tranny is typically checked another way.

Transmission Fluid

some manufactures have chosen not to put dipsticks on their vehicles, being if it is not leaking the level will not go down. thus if you don't see a leak there is no reason to check the fluid level. mike

This may be caused by incorrect fluid in the transaxle or incorrect fluid level.

My guess would be fluid level- as the fluid warms up and expands, the level actually increases slightly and the fluid is slightly thinner which would be easier to be "flung" around inside the transaxle case.

Hope this is helpful!!
