SOURCE: Would A 2006 Chevy Equinox with just 40,000 miles

Possibly. It depends on what the climate is like where you live. For instance, if you live in an area where the summer climate hits 110 (i.e. Phoenix), then your vehicle will need to be serviced more regularly. Best recommendation, take your vehicle to AutoZone, Checkers, O'Reillys, etc. for a free diagnostic check.

Not an expert here, but my 2006 Equinox also has issues idling rough at first and sometimes does not like to start. I inquired at a car parts store about wires and plugs. He told me that I should not need to replace the factory (Iridium) plugs yet. He suggested cleaning the injectors with a product called "Sea Foam". You can use it to clean the injectors and put in your oil to clean the lubrication system. I just put it in today, so I cannot tell you if it actually helped. Hope this helps.

Bleeding brakes 2005 equinox

Lots of air in system. Close valve, helper depresses peddle, open and close valve to extract air - fluid without lifting peddle. With valve closed lift and depress peddle again. Repeat process many times until clear and steady while watching master cyl fluid level never gets lower than 1/3. Having the fluid extraction hose in a clear container immersed in fluid will aid in seeing air bubbles.

Where is the fuel filter located on my 2006 chevrolet equinox?

For 2006 Equinox 2WD 3.4L SFI OHV

For 2006 Equinox AWD 3.4L SFI OHV:

Its the same for both types of Equinox.
The short story: the fuel filter is an integral part of the fuel pump, and 06 Equinox has 2 fuel pumps (each presumably with its own filter), due to the odd shape of its fuel tank.
Note: the last time I thought I had a car whose owner thought it was a fuel pump/fuel strainer/fuel filter promplem turned out to have a bad spark plug wire - it caused identical symptoms (engine missing alot, especially going uphill).
