My temperature & fuel gauge doesn't work how to troubleshoot

To troubleshoot, I need year--make--model, vehicle sold in the US.
I'd check the coolant temp sensor and wiring circuits. The same thing for fuel gage sending unit. Sometimes for the fuel gage sending unit, I get a couple of resistors one represents empty, the other represents full. If the gage reacts properly then the problem should be the sending unit in the gas tank.

My 2000 Chevy s15 Rpm and Gas Gauge is not working

I didn't see an s15 in that model year, in my database?
If the speedometer works but the tach doesn't, I think something is wrong with instrument cluster?
GM has had a problem with fuel gage sending units. The sending units are not hard wired to instrument cluster, they send signal to pcm, the pcm sends serial data to instrument cluster, telling the cluster the gage settings.
It may be possible to use different size resistors in place of the fuel level sending unit, to see if fuel gage reacts properly to different resistors, if the gage reacts properly, then I think the problem is the fuel gage sending unit.

I have a 1989 iroc Camaro 5.7 multiport. just installed a new engine. ok car runs fine I dive it to work and that's about 25 miles. for got to say I also put a new fuel filter and fuel pump in. about 1/4...

If you replaced fuel pump, you should have checked orientation of float to make sure it doesn't hit a baffle or anything.
You can use resistors to see if fuel gage reacts properly to the resistors, 90 ohms is full
0 ohms is empty. The wire colors for sending unit are pink and black. Take connector loose, use resistor between proper terminals, key on. If the gage reacts properly, the problem is in the gas tank.
Use a gage, check proper fuel pressure, 34--47 psi.
As far as pressure in the gas tank, check evap system where applicable or vent tube.

Why is my gas gage showing empty when there is gas in the tank and there is a new pump and sensor system? 1997 GMC Sierra Truck V8

float in tank could be stuck or you have a faulty guage.
Check all your wiring!
Hope this helps, please let me know

Fuel gage problem

Its most likely the sending unit in the fuel tank is not working properly and needs replaced.

sounds like somone has a garden hose in your tank personaly i would check the fuel tank ground
it is likely the reason your gage doesnt work
once gage works you can properly monitor fuel use
