I would suspect the starter motor solenoid is defective if it clicks but wont crank over with the starter. If this is not the case let me know.

SOURCE: problem with electric windows and mirrors not

  • If you open the drivers door and take notice of that harness that stretches between the door frame and the door. If their is a boot slide it to one side and then the other side and if their is no boot slice the harness open lengthwise.

  • What your looking at is the wires in that harness. Them wires are the power feed (and ground) for the different electronics inside the cabin ie door lock, chimes, windows, dome lights, etc. Look for split, pinched, bulging, rusted wires or wires with negated insulation. Splice a new wire into the area where the wire[s] are broke off and re-insulate.

  • This is a common problem with most vehicles across the board. Over time, due to placement of the harness, the wires begin to crack and dry out and get pinched. Broken wires is almost always the problem with a problem such as yours.

  • If you have any comments please feel free to leave them here.
  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

Regards, Tony

Sadly this seems a job for an alarm specialist. Somehow your alarm system thinks your key is an intruder. Try an auto electrical specialist?

CORSA B STEERING FAULT ( VAUXHAL/OPEl)

you could have a bent suspension arm or a tracking problem i would recomend you get these things checked first
if thats all fine i would go to your local brakers yard and get an electric power steering pump and fit it yourself
they are located on the steering column at the top and can be seen if you pull off the trim panel on the right
they are only held in by a couple of bolts
