Yea they can be trickey if you dont know what your looking for but what you can do is get a CLEAN spray bottle, fill it with WATER!and spray all the vacuum hoses you can see and when the water gets sucked thru the vac. leak the car will stumble or hesitate but you should be able to notice a difference once ya hit the sewwt spot and dont worry this method is completly safe. have a good day DB

1994 Chevy Caprice Classic -- When my car is in park it idles high. Also, when I am in drive ,maybe stopped at a light, then let off the breaks to go, I don't even need to step on the gas, it will...

You might have a possible vacuum leak. open the hood, let the car idle and listen closely for a hissing noise. Possible cracked or broken vacuum hose. Is the ck engine light on? Or possible TPS (throttle position sensor), IAC (idle air control valve). I would check it for a vacuum leak first, if you do not find one take it and have a scanner put on it. Autozone and O'Rielly's will do this for free. Hope I sent you in the right direction. TJ

Sounds like you have a broken axle in the front drive system. You need to get this in to have someone look at it. If you need assistance let me know.

I need the spark plug wiring diagram for a 1994 caprice classic 305

firing order of a small block chevy engine is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2, clockwise-#1 on the front driver side (1,3,5,7 on driver sied, 2,4,6,8 on passenger side)-#1 should be about the 7 o'clock position, but to be certain, rotate the crank (loclkwise) until the 0 degree mark on the balancer lines up with the scale-look at the installed rotor-it is either pointed at the 7 o'clock position or the o'clock position-with the plug in #1 removed, rotate it again to see if the cylinder pushes air (compression)-that is where #1 plug wire belongs. just plug them in in order (18436572)-you will still have to time it to start, they usually need to be set a few degrees before top dead center.

1994 caprice 5.7l not getting spark on one cylinder only

you need to check the distributor cap, and the plug wire for this one cylinder. Are you using the spark plug to test for spark? if so are you 100% sure it is a good plug?
