Question about 2007 Nissan Altima

2007 nissan altima problems

Vehicle has trouble accelerating, especially on the freeway. Car struggles to accelerate from a stop, almost as if it is climbing a hill. Transmission died 2 years ago and Nissan replaced. Took it into Nissan yesterday and they said it had a quart too much of transmission fluid, but other than that they could not duplicate the issue. Car has a slight vibration rattling when attempting to accelerate, the rpms will shoot up to 5+ but unless take your foot off the accelerator the rpms will not go down. The service engineer said this was how the car transmission was designed. Is that correct? I dont ever remember having this issue. The nissan dealer wants me to have the following items repaired or replaced which they say may contribute to some of the phantom noises from the transmission. Cost 1. Exhaust heat shield has leak 112.79 2. Engine mount cracked 264.53 3. replace all drive belts 123.01 4. Replace front struts 697.59 5. replace tie rod 220.53 6. replace power steering fluid (contaminated) 99.95 7. rr tpms sensor 174.26 8. brake booster 439.97

Check your exhaust system, some bolts used to loose or gone on Altima 02-06. Especially check the bolt close to the joint between exhaust manifold and front pipe. Check if your sway bar rubbing your exhaust pipe.

probably sucked up some junk from the bottom of the gas tank when ran low. change fuel filter and try some seafoam cleaner, this stuff seems to be pretty good at removing carbon and heavy deposits.
