Question about 1991 Buick LeSabre

1 Answer

1991 Buick LeSabre Cuise Control Fuse Location

Subject Cruise Control will not engage - I believe it could be a blown fuse. The only problem is I don't have an Owners Manual and therefore cannot determine exactly which fuse is in the Cruise Control Circuit and/or where it is located. I have checked all fuses in the main box on the left Instrument Panel and they appear to be good. I thought perhaps the Cruise Control Fuse might be located somewhere else. Please clarify. Dean

Check vacuum tee under hood by fire wall. Looks like a fishing cork, three ports.

Cuise control dose not work

One thing you should do is actually TEST the fuse with a meter, or just replace it anyway. You can often be fooled by "looking" at a fuse. You can't always tell when they are blown by looking.

Fuse i need to find the dash lights fuse and cruise control fuse on a 92 buick lesabre

hey, grab a flashlight, go to your car, start taking out fuses 1 by 1, shining the flashlight through them from the bottom, if you se a thin metal strip in the shape of a 'U' or 'V' the fuse is good. be sure to put it back in the right place. then move on to the next one. if you see that the 'U' or 'V' is broken, replace the fuse with one with the SAME number on it. Do this with all your fuses, even if you find one broken one, there could be more. if the problem persists, it's not a blown fuse, or there could be another fuse box.

Location of fuel pump relay on a 1991 buick lesabre

the fuel pump relay is located in the fuse compartment behind the glove box. It is the big black fuse on the very top of the fuse compartment right over one that looks just like it.

I believe that i have a blown heater motor fuse on a 1991 buick lesabre. which fuse is it and where is it located?

Check the power at the connector to the blower motor with a test light or gauge. Mine would blow at times and I turned it on unplugged connector and reconnected . It works fine after I cleaned and fixed it.

I was looking for a 12v keyed power source under the hood when I heard a fuse pop. I wasn't touching a live wire at the time it popped but I lost my cruise control. I have checked the cruise control...

The "resistors" are actually maxi-fuses. Your Batt1 or Batt2 fuse is blown more than likely. There should be other components that are not working.
Look down into the Maxi-fuse, you should be able to see the fused bridge of the fuse. If it is dark, it has blown. If you compare it to the others, you will see the difference. You can also remove the cap on top of the fuse to see the fuse bridge.
Good luck,
Regards,

2001 buick LeSabre cruise control

no not a fuse may be the switch itself this is common and parts are not badly priced. replace the switch. It just pops out. The directions will tell you to take out the airbag first but it will sneek out of there.
