The seats are bolted down 2 in the front and 2 in the back, you may also have to disconnect a wiring harness if you have power seats, removal shouldn't take more than 20 min for both seats.

Does your Escalade have memory seats ?
There are 2 options of power seat systems available in full size trucks. The 6 way driver and passenger power seats, and 8 way driver and passenger power seats with driver memory. For the driver memory seat operation refer to Memory Seats Description and Operation . Power seats without memory are completely controlled through the power seat switch. Battery voltage is supplied to the power seat switch through the power seat circuit breaker. While the seat adjuster switches are in an inactive state the switch contacts are closed to the power seat switch ground circuit. When a power seat switch is pressed to an active state the switch contact is closed to the battery voltage supply circuit. Each seat adjuster motor is controlled by the power seat switch through 2 motor control circuits. The seat adjuster motors are bidirectional and the direction of adjuster motor rotation is determined by which of the adjuster motor control circuits is switched to battery voltage while the other remains grounded.

I need to know what bolts to remove in order to remove the seats from a cadillac escalade ext

Hello: First remove the plastic covers at the front and rear of the seat tracks (do it carefully so you don't break them) then remove the bolts in the rear (move the seat all the way forward) one on each side. It will either be a 15mm bolt head or a torx head bolt depending on what year truck (don't remember what size torx) after removing rear bolts, move seat all the way forward disconnect ALL electrical connectors, tilt seat forward to disconnect hooks in seat rail and you should beable to remove seat. On some tear models you may have to disconnect the seat belt.

The gas gauge in my 2005 Escalade doesn't work. Also, the drive seat will not move Up and down. Moves in all other directions, just not up and down.

SOUNDS LIKE TWO DIFFERENT PROBLEMS. GM TRUCKS ARE KNOWN FOR BAD FUEL SENDING UNITS.YOU NEED TO TAKE IT TO A SHOP TO BE SCANNED TO BE SURE. ALSO YOU NEED EITHER A SEAT SWITCH OR UP-DOWN MOTOR IN THE SEAT. THANKS AND GOOD LUCK. MOTOR62500!

More than likely, you have a blend door actuator problem. Locate the faulty actuator under the dash, usually on the firewall, and replace.

2005 front (seats) removal

Requires the use of a t-50 torx socket & you'll remove four bolts. Viola, the seat is loose & all models will have electrical connections to disconnect.
