Question about 2006 Buick Terraza

1 Answer

The chimes go off when the terraza is taken out of park. There is no dic message telling us why the chimes are going off. All the doors are closed. It still contiunes to chime even in drive and while the car is moving forward. We need to know whats going on with it.

Well I would post a solution but I feel like "fixya" should pay me for telling them. It kind of bothered me that I was going to have to pay for assistance. Usually someone will look at your vehicle for free just to figure out the problem.

be sure all doors are closed, put the key in passengers door and unlock and lock it with the key, do the same to drivers door, that should stop the chime.

2002 Buick Terraza: The chime/ding continues to go off for no apparent reason... it is faster and louder as driving... while stopped it will decrease speed and volumne. All doors are closed and there are...

Check the seat belts there is wires hook up to them that could be broken or corroded and the door switches could be broken. The speeding up of the chimes would be part of the safety fetcher.

While driving dome lights come on and go off and chimes sound

{: ) It's possible that one of your doors not closing fully. The doors may need some doorlatch-to-striker adjustments, or it can be a wiring issue. A scan tool is better able to detect which of your doors is causing this unexpected signal.
You can try some diy test: Park your car, handbrakes on, engine running, and windows open. Get off your vehicle, and close all doors like you normally do. Go to each door, grasp the handle but dont open. Try to move the door to and fro and check for any play or looseness, at the same time you monitor the dash for any messages or hear the chime.

My passenger side door would not close. The mechanic reprogrammed it with the instructions in the handbook. So far it is working OK after one month. Good luck
