You might check for a fuel shut off valve. Some vehicles have them in case of an accident, it turns off the fuel pump. Some are just a relay that can be reset.

I've tested my coil by simply placing a spark plug at the end of the plug wire and ground it to the engines ground and by turning the key I looked for a bright blue spark to see a amber spark instead

well if it starts with starter fluid then you need to change the fuel pump and fuel filter, if it had anything to do with spark it would not start with starter fluid.

2004 ford taurus idles ruff and no pickup engine light comes on,i can reset the engine light but it still come back on any help.

Best thing to do is take it to Auto zone or a parts store that will read the codes. Sounds like you have a bad coil pack on one or more of the spark plugs. Getting the codes will pin point the problem.

1995 ford taurus 3.0l v6 wagon no spark.

Listen TFI module is more than likely the problem change it. TFI module controls spark and timing and fuel. Keep one with you in the car. The module is getting hot and not working right.

check starter first to make sure it is not jammed into the flywheel also make sure the battery is fully charged and check the coil pack to make sure you have spark and on the fuel make sure the reset button is not sticking and check the fuel pump relay and check all the vacuum lines and the drive belt
