SOURCE: The lower glove box on my 2009 Rav4 won't close.

I had the same problem with my 2009 RAV4 lower glove box. I removed the box by popping the top front right post and then the top left front post from theside housings by prying them free with my fingers. They pop out easily. I then let the box fall open and while holding it level to the floor, pulled forward, released the piston from the post on the right, and the glove compartment came out without tools. There was a plastic electrical box cover, which came loose behind the glove box, blocking it from closing. I snapped the cover plate back in place and then reversed the glove box removal process. It took a few minutes and I needed no tools.

Most repairs to the heater/Ac system require the dash assembly to be removed for access. Not a job for someone unless they are experienced due t air bags and electronics

sounds like your evaporator is clogged (check if water drains from under the car when the a/c is on). there should be a way to remove your glove box (squeezing in the sides or unscrewing) and you'll see the access door right behind it

Where is the ac/heat mode actuator on a 2005 malibu

its behind the glove box up and to the left after you lower or remove your glove box. Glove box has two little arms you can push inward and drop the glove box down nearly to the floor..

Dead mouse smell and nest in dashboard how to find it?

I've seen this before. Mice. if small enough enter from the outside into the air intake and get into the fan and motor. The least fix is to remove the fan and motor assy. the worst is you will have to have a qualified technician remove the whole dash assembly.

The blower motor is not working at all, it was working then suddenly quit. I checked the fuse and it appears to be ok.

Without other symptoms it is hard to say. This vehicle is notorious for a connection failure (melting) from the controller to the blower motor.
Symtoms include the fan only working on certain speed settings or a slight smell of something burning.
You can view this connection by emptying your glove box of the contents and then taking the glove box housing out. It is a 8 wire or so connector going up towrad the blower motor up behind the glove box.

How do you fix a fan sensor in a 2000 malibu

are you talking about heating fan resistor! if so, this is where and how its replaced. it is behind glove box. remove glove box so you do not have to stand on your head, only about 7 or 8 screws. then loosen and slide ecm to one side. ( but when removing glove box, remove insulator panel under glove box first ) now you can see heater blower and resistor. it is beside the fan, remove the wires from it. take out holddown screws, then pull it out. have a good holiday!!

I need a layout for the resistor for the a/c fan speed control in a '99 Malibu

I do not have the diagram for you. but i can tell you how to change it! first, its behind glove box. to make things easier remove the glove box. remove insulating pad from underneath glove box, next loosen and slide the ecm to one side. now you can see resistor and blower motor. resistor is beside blower motor. remove wiring to resistor. take out the screws that hold it in. then pull it out of heater box. have a good day !!
