SOURCE: Warning lights won't go off.

You need to have a code scanner hooked to the car to find out why the lights are on, if there is an auto zone or advanced auto near you, go there and ask them if they can hook one up, or call around to see who can do it.

SOURCE: How do I install alt. belt on 2005 scion xb?

I just looked at my '04 xB. It looks very straight forward.
loosen the bolt that holds the alternator to the bracket.
carefully slide the alt to the bottom. (Also be aware of the plug and wires on the alt. They should never hold the weight of the alternator. You dont want them breaking prematurely.)
Pull the belt off, remove the belt from the crank shaft pulley.

Do the reverse, and you will have replaced the belt.

Make sure to check the belt in about a week or so.
New belts will stretch over time. Make sure you keep the tension tight enough to work correctly, but not so tight that the alernator shaft is warped.
I usually place the new belt on both pulleys and give a good "medium" pull on the alt while tightening. Find the middle of the belt and squeeze them together, depending on the type and length of the belt, there should be about 1/4" of flex on both sides.

2011 Scion xb with 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine. Intermittently, once warm it has a rough/slow idle and wants to stall. Sets a "lean condition" error code. Dealer "thinks" it is mass air flow sensor but...

well the dealer of course wants to replace it, throttle body on car tube has a plug in and this reads the amount of air that comes from the filter, check first to see if the filter is dirty, i noticed that if this gets dirty it will affect how your car runs, when i changed out my maf sensor, when i took it off of the throttle body that my car would run very bad, after i changed out my filter to a better one that it would run better, also check that the clamps are tight arounf the body if it is not i can cause it to run bad, hope this helps.

2004 scion xb shuts off while at a stop light ? than has trouble starting back up.

check that the mass air flow sensor has a clean sensor. Cars with MAF dont idle well if the sensor wire gets crude built up on it.
