Question about Hyundai Sonata

Open Question

2004 hyundai sonata electrical wiring

The dashboard light (odometer, gas, oil, temp) are out. Passenger side tail and brake light not working, as well as orange lights in front out. Tried changing the headlight switch on steering wheel. Did not help. Believe it's wiring because if you play with the switch a bit the lights come on, but don't stay on. Tried cleaning out guck on connectors, still no help. Can someone help? My husband's doing the work. He needs help with a wire diagram for these areas. Thanks

SOURCE: tail light wiring connectors and wiring diagram

A test light checking each connector would be faster and easier to do. Maybe somebody may have a illustration for you but by far a simple test light is all you need with a helper turning on the different lights as you check them out and writing all your findings down

This sounds like a bad brake light switch, this switch is located on the bracket that holds brake pedal, you can test for power at switch, also if you remove connector and jump terminals with a wire and see if lights lite, if lights light then switch is bad,

How do I replace rear passenger side brake light on a 2007 Hyundai Sonata

There is an 'access panel' in the trunk liner right behind the tail lamp assy. Loosen wingnut to release cover. Now you have access to the bulb sockets. Be sure you replace the bulb with the same type (dual filament).. otherwise you could cause a short circuit between the 'parking lamp' and the 'brake lamp' circuits.

Cruise control stopped working in my 2004 Hyundai Sonata

This works...the cruise is directly tied to the brake lights...when I replaced the brake and side light bulbs on my 2004 Santa Fe,,,the cruise started working with no other adjustments. It must complete a circuit or something.
