Where is the MAF on a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire?

MAF will be located in the throttle body I believe. Screwed to the top of the throttle body where it hangs down into the airway as air enters the intake. Not 100% on that car but it will be in that area. Hope that helps.

1999 pontiac sunfire sits in pouring rain then sputters and check engine light flashes

You definitely have a faulty MAF (mass air flow) sensor. The MAF controls the idle of the car that when it's faulty an erratic idle may occur. You may even end up stalling during take off so have the MAF replaced. It is located on the throttle body.
