Where is shift solenoid on a 2007 dodge ram 1500

I'm not positive on the 2007 specifically, but in most cases the shift solenoid is located inside the transmission fluid pan, above the filter. Drain the fluid/drop the pan, remove the transmission filter, and you SHOULD see the solenoid just above the front edge of the opening...

Again I'm not positive on the 07, this is just where they are located on most of the trucks I have encountered. On that note, before you open it up make sure you have a new filter & gasket and enough new fluid to fill the pan after servicing (normally 4-5 quarts will do it) keep in mind a service fill is considerably less fluid than the total fluid capacity of your transmission... good luck !

i personally recommend around every 50 000 miles. i also have a ram, have done this, and never had an issue. i would also recommend having your differential and transfer case fluid changed at the same time. good luck!

It's worth a try, but it sounds like some internal transmission problems. Check the color of the fliud and see if there is a burnt smell to the fluid.
