I had the same problem and trimmed the vacuum line ends to make a tight seal. I also had the trouble codes cleared. the problem has not come back yet.

I am sorry but fixya has no diagrams of the system. The diagrams are part of the factory repair manuals and that is copyrighted by the manufacturer. do not change the batery. If the car still runs fine the problem is a blown fuse. Find the fuse panel, On the back side of the fuse panel cover is the fuse location chart. Look for the cig lighter fuse it is probably 20 amp
