First thing to do is take all the park light bulbs out and look for corrosion on sockets, ***** wires, etc. Every time ive faced this problem its been close to a dent where the vehicle has been hit or worst case scenario, if the radio isnt factory someone has cut into the harness behind it. Good luck and i hope u get it.

SOURCE: 2oo2 ford F-150 can't get out of park, wipers and elec. windows won't work

check for water intrusion on left side of dash. just above the fuse panel (or on backside) if this is so..the GEM module may have been damaged...for short term to drive the truck...turn the key to the on position without starting truck...shift into neutral, then start the engine....you can now drive the vehicle until fixed...hope this helps!

SOURCE: 200 Cougar blowing headlight fuses

First look for a short or where a wire is exposed and fix that with electrical tape.

If you can not find it, then often I will put a Re-set fuse that does not blow but resets and costs about $5 at Autozone.

Good luck, J

SOURCE: I have a 2002 Ford F150 Supercrew. Fuse 15 keeps

I had the same problem on my 2001 ford 150 supercrew. My cruise control went out first, then a couple months later I could not put my truck in gear and the windows wouldn't work. Then the #15 fuse (5 amp) kept blowing. One day when I went to work the truck caught fire. The problem was the speed control module. It was under a recall. I took it to ford and since I did not take it to them for the recall they only covered the parts that was initially in the recall. I had to buy the other parts.

My fuse keeps blowinng when i turn on my lights but the headlights ,blake lights and turn signals work but no tail or parking lights

If the fuse blows, you have a dead short to ground somewhere, likely around the tail lights or parking lights. Try this:

Get a box of the correct fuses.
Remove all tail and parking bulbs and put in a new fuse. If the fuse does not blow, try installing each bulb at a time to see which light assembly causes the fuse to blow.
Let's suppose its the RH tail light assembly. Pull it off the car and check for dirt and damaged wiring.

If this is an older vehicle, there may be wiring damage (due to rust) in the harness under the carpets.

Tail lights wont come on keeps blowing fuse blows 10 amp 15 amp and even 5 amp fuses

put a 12 volt light bulb in place of the fuse. It will stay lit until you find the short circuit. Check tail and park light & side marker bulbs first.

How about if you just turn parking lights on, not headligths

On earlier models, the fuse panel is located on the firewall above the driver's left foot. On later models, the fuse panel is located on the underside of the instrument panel, covered with an access door. prev.gif next.gif

There is a shorted wire in somewhere in the circuit. The problem is where. You can use an ohmmeter and trace all your wiring or use a voltmeter and find a light socket that doesn't measure up to the rest or has inconsistent voltage readings. Make sure the fuse is not smaller than the origional

You got a short somewhere buddy and finding those are a pain in the *** time and labor wise.  Any time there is an electrical issue, make sure you got a fat wallet cause the mechanic will milk the hours out of it while eating their sandwich and chips.

run a wire from battery + to positive side of parking light. See if lights come on. If they do, check fuse.
