SOURCE: 2005 chevy colorado abs fault

Sounds like water getting in one of the connectors. You will need to see what fault code is in there when the light comes on, then look at that sensor.

SOURCE: getting p0193 code for my

P0193 is "Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit High Input"
Meaning: Car's computer is reading input voltage from the FRP (Fuel Rail Pressure) sensor as
voltage out of the acceptable range, because the voltage is too above the acceptable range.

assuming you are running gasoline...

check for fuel in the vacuum hose of the FRP sensor after running engine at idle for 2 minutes. if not, check fuel pressure. Check fuel pressure by connecting a fuel pressure gauge to the Schrader
connector on the fuel rail, which you will find under a small (black, usually) plastic protective cap.

If the fuel pressure is indeed too high, your fuel pressure regulator has gone bad.

if fuel pressure is good, check voltage between Sensor connector Vref (Pin#3 LB (light blue)) and
Signal Return (Pin#4 GY/RD (gray/red)), which should be 4.0V-5.5V with key ON.
The acceptable voltage range from the FRP sensor to the car's computer is 4.0-5.5 volts.
What the P0193 code is saying is that the voltage from the FRP sensor is over 5.5 volts,
and therefore it's "High Input."

If voltage from the FRP sensor is bad (out of range high, presumably), then replace the FRP
sensor and reset the OBD-II code.

If the voltage output from the FRP sensor is also good, the car's computer is kaflooey, so
you'd need to replace the car computer (which is costly), so replace the car's computer as a
last resort.

I put new bearing assemblies in rear 2006 Ford Freestar and now ABS/Traction control lights stay on. How do I reset??

There is no reset for this problem. When the ABS system is in working order the system runs a self-test upon initial key on and if all is well the abs light goes out. You need to have diagnostics ran on the abs sytem. If the problem wasn't there before the repair , suspect a problem caused by the repair. Did the new assemblies have the abs option? Did the abs sensors have to be removed or get damaged during repair?

hope this helps

Four digit codes are brand specific.
Code 1705 for a Ford product means the shift lever switch or sensor is out of range. The computer does not know what gear the shifter is in.

This can mean any number of things. The first step will be to connect a scan tool to read the stored ABS codes, then go from there.

Same exact problem as described on 2005 ford freestar van

It is likely you have a defective vehicle speed sensor, but in order to confirm this you must have the dealer or well equipped shop test the system for fault codes. Based on what is found the proper repairs are performed to correct this issue.

My abs lights and advtrac lights came on simultaneously and i don't know why

It means you have a fault in your vehicles antilock brake system. Having the light on will disable the abs system. Antilock/traction control keeps your wheels from locking up and provides you with a more controlled stop, such as in rain or snow. Take it in to a repair facility and have them scan the abs system for fault codes codes

Engine light stays on replace intake manifold plugs fault codes with pcm lean idle condition ford 2005 freestar

I would take a look at the idle air control valve and see if it is sticking. You could try taking it off and cleaning it. If that seems to make a difference then I would replace it with a new one just to be sure.
