Question about Cars & Trucks
I recently acquired my grandfather's 1993 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck and discovered that the radio does not work. The dashboard clock works so some of it gets power but the cassette player and radio do not come on at all. We did replace the battery. I did my homework and discovered that pre-2000 S10s use a Theftlock I that engages each time the vehicle loses power (Like a battery replacement). Do I need a reactivation code, and if so, how do I get it?

SOURCE: How to change time on pickup
Hold down either the hour or minute button until it changes....it takes a few seconds. Then when you have it set where you want, leave it alone and it'll keep track from there.

Replace battery terminals and/or clean battery posts. Horn and radio don't use as much juice as starting. Sounds like a lack of amperage or electrical pressure to push the starter motor. Also check battery. Needs 12 or more volts and about 600 or more cranking amps.
