Whatis a idle motor an would it mack my truck shake going from overdrive to drive

An Idle motor on a fuel injected vehicle is virtually the same thing as the choke used to be for a carburated engine. It is basically a solenoid valve that adjusts the air fuel mixture to be rich while an engine is warming up to operating temperature. Once the engine is warm the idle motor is taken out of the mix and the computer begins to control the air fuel mixture. And no I don't believe it would have any effect on your truck shifting into or out of overdrive. Sounds more like torque converter clutch shutter.

This is a Code for the intake runner control on bank 1. It is a part that moves shutter controls to change the airflow inside the intake manifold. Browse the web for this part "Intake runner control or Solenoid" with your vehicle info.

What it does- In old days Intake airflow was casted into the part and not adjustable. Because of Variable valve timing, intake airflow needs to adjust. Newer intake manifolds have multi-chambers and this part allows air to change from one chamber to another.

Sometimes it is easily to replace than clean the part, some earlier parts had plastic ends which broke, solenoids failed, etc.

Please rate my info.

Your closing in. There is a motor that will open the heater core venting to allow it to blow into the car. Get a heater core install picture from your auto parts dealer or car dealer for specs of where and how it is driven.

COOLANT IN PCM

With growing fuel costs and problems of global warming that are being faced by our planet, automotive industry is trying its best to create cars and engines that are more fuel efficient. In a recent news release Chevrolet unveiled the working of The Air Shutter system which is going to be used in the much awaited Chevrolet Cruze Eco model giving it a decently good fuel economy of 40MPG or 17 kmpl.

Air Shutter System Working Greg Fadler, aerodynamics engineering group manager at Chevrolet and his team developed The Air Shutter system to make 2011 Chevrolet Cruze Eco one of the most fuel efficient small cars on the market achieving almost hybrid like fuel economy without the Hybrid cost and maintenance. This was achieved by using commonly used techniques of reducing overall weight and ride height to provide it the aerodynamic benefit. chevrolet+cruze+eco+air+shutter.gif
The real innovation is the front grill which has an automatic shutter system that senses wind flow and temperature conditions with sensors which, are connected to small electric motors that open and close the shutter as and when needed. When the car is moving at slow speed (city driving) the shutters open to provide maximum air flow to the engine for cooling thus, reducing radiator power consumption. The shutter remain closed during high speeds (highway driving), providing an increase in half a mile per gallon in combined city and highway driving.
The system however doesn't compromise with engine cooling in anyway. The system in fact helps to provide maximum cooing in the worst of conditions with the advantage of increased fuel economy.

Your overdrive is the problem, have a mechanic adjust the detent cable, see if that helps ,if it does not, have the codes read to see if it is a solenoid causing the problem.

Car surging in high gear, runs fine otherwise. In morning when cooler does not do it.

I think you are have what is called torque converter shutter. Go to an O'reillys or napa and ask for lubegard in the red bottle. Put it in and drive it for a couple of weeks. Hopefully it will help.

Shuttering at highway speeds

well the kickdown cable out of adjust ment would only screw up your shifting timing and when the vehicle downshifts when you press the accelerator hard. usually a shudder at cruise speeds 40 mph or higher indicates a torque converter problem or the govenor pressure solenoid and sensor. i personally would start by replaceing the sensor and solenoid and install a new filter
