Question about Chevrolet Cars & Trucks
Using a multimeter, check the two connections on the rear defroster for power. If power is present, check the thin lines which stretch from side to side on the rear screen for continuity. It is quite common for those who carry pets such as dogs in the back for the pets to scratch these elements and break them. If minor damage is present in the form of scratches, then there is special conductive paint available which can be used to fill in minor breaks.
If no power is present, then check the fuse.
If power isn't present, but the fuse is intact, then check power and operation of the switch.
