Question about 2002 Nissan Sentra
115k on the car. Timing belt (chain?) has never been replaced. The car has been running fine. Shut it off in the driveway and would not start the next day. Is this ignition system fused? If so, which one. I've lost the cover to the fuse panel under the hood that describes what fuses are for which components. I see there is a recall on crank and cam sensors for this motor but I don't know if the recall has been performed.
Its almost impossible for this car to jump timing or break chain. If the vehicle still had adequate power while driving before this happened the chain is fine. About the recall, that's the most likely thing that is causing you NOT to start the CRANK SENSOR. To find out if recall was performed call Nissan's 800 number or any local nissan dealer in your neck of the woods and by giving then the VIN number the will be able to tell you if it was done. Good Luck Thanks for using FIX YA
