Can't get my alternator belt tight 2001 mirage de

Is this a vee belt or serpentine belt? Does the alternator have an adjusting bolt? I haven't looked at info for your vehicle, yet.
With a vee belt, sometimes I use a pry bar between the generator housing and tough metal part of engine, pull on the bar to get tension on the belt, then tighten the adjusting bolt on the generator. You have to be careful doing that, you don't want it too tight. If you get it too tight it may damage the alternator.

2001 Chrysler sebring lxi 3.0 if cylinder 1 is TDC what other cylinders are up

As it is a 4-stroke engine No. 1 cylinder TDC could be at the end of the exhaust stroke or the end of the compression stroke.

Assuming it is TDC compression stroke it will take two crankshaft revolutions for it to be in the same position again, meanwhile in those two revolutions the other five cylinders will reach TDC compression in the firing order of the engine. An inline engine has the firing intervals 120 crankshaft degrees apart but the vee engine, designed to be shorter (more compact) and have better balance characteristics and the shorter, lighter and stiffer crankshaft produces less torsional vibration, though the firing intervals of a vee engine can be uneven depending on design. Some vee 6 engines were shortened vee 8's.

Belt routing diagram

Hi Robert:
The make and model might help one of us to google it and find an answer, but if you have the correct belt, replacement is a straightforward matter.
- Vee belts fit in the vee and are tightened by loosening the alternator bolts and moving the alternator.
- Serpentine belts have the inside (ridges) fit into the drive and driven pulleys, and the outside fits against idler pulleys and the tension pulley. The easiest way to install that I have found is to use a 3/8 tortion bar with a "cheater" extension on the handle. (mine is a piece of square aluminum tubing about 2 ft long. The 3/8 square drive fits in a hole in the face of the pulley carrier. Move the tensioner pulley so that it is in the fully slack position, and while holding it there, put the serpentine belt in place. Then let the tensioner release to tighten up the belt.

Serpentine belt

A serpentine belt (also known as a multi-vee or multi-rib belt) is a single, continuous belt used to drive multiple peripheral devices in an automotive.

Adjust head lights to factory for 2009 ford flex

In a very level supermarket carpark at night, shine the headlights square onto a wall from less than 3 meters away. Chalk the height of each low beam's horizontal cut-off line on the wall. Then back the car up like 30 meters and the cut-off lines should now be lower but only slightly. Fiddle with the vertical adjusters until they look right. Temporarily cover the headlight you're not adjusting so it's really obvious which one's line is which.

Then you can check the left-right aiming using the high beams. Don't try to use the vee of the low beams for this, every bulb will have its vee in a slightly different place. To pickup the car's centre line, crouch down behind the trunk and sight through the windscreens using an imaginary vertical line (drawn between the trunk lock and the rear view mirror's stem) as your reference, and chalk that vertical line on the wall. Your high beams should fall either side of that line, and be about the same distance apart as the width of the car.
