My air bag light is on, what does this mean

It means that one or more components of your complete Air Bag Safety system is faulty, this won't mean that your airbags will go off but rather something may not activate in the event of an accident depending on whats causing the fault or faults, some manufacturers programme that if an airbag light is on indicating a fault in the event of an accident then all airbags will go off as a backup safety, you will need to seek a service repairer who can diagnose your make and model car to determine the source of the fault

Replacing severe

cebd8d08-0b93-4be4-a8ba-b0eb7c57df3a.jpgCheck connections under passenger seat.
The SRSCM sets DTC B1322 if
there is any fault in Weight Classification System.

In contrast to the initial
one-stage airbag systems, newer restraint systems involve complex logic to
select, or alternatively suppress, various levels of safety system deployment.

Inherent to an advanced
Restraint System is the ability to discern information regarding passenger
occupancy.

It is intended that these
inputs be provided through the weight measuring OC system.

The object of such safety
system is to reduce the risk and level of injuries by automatically adapting the
airbag(s) and seat belt pretensioner to the driving status of the vehicle, its
occupants, and the crash severity.

The current OC system covered
in this specification continually senses and classifies the front passenger side
seat.

OCS is utilizing a robust
weight measuring technology. Thus, if any of the following conditions occur,
'command zero' and 'accuracy check' should be performed

The weight classification ECU
or any of the sensors is replaced.

The vehicle is brought to the
repair shop due to an accident or a crash even though the severity seems to be
minor.

The passenger airbag ON
indicator is off (not illuminated) when the passenger seat is not
occupied.

The passenger airbag ON
indicator is delayed more than 10 seconds before turning off when an adult
passenger is seated in the right front seat.

The passenger seat is removed
from the vehicle and re-assembled.

Any accessories (side table,
seatback table and seat cover, etc) are replaced or installed.

Fiat 500 airbag light stays on but reads no faults

Hello,
Airbags are only serviceable by the dealership, the light indicates there is a problem in the Airbag system and they will not deploy in case of an accident. Regular scanners would not read anything related to Airbags. Talk to your dealrship, I would ask if there is any safety recalls concerning airbags on your model.

SRS light is on

n most vehicles, the airbag light should come on for 6 seconds, and then go off if the system is working properly. If there is a fault or a problem in the system, the light will remain illuminated, or flash continuously. If the airbag light does not work properly, some vehicles have an audible tone that sounds indicating a problem with the airbag lights system. When the light is on( or the tone is sounding), the airbag will not deploy, even in an accident.
The flashing light on your car is telling there is a problem. On some vehicles require a OBD2 code scanner for the diagnosis. Once you know the code, you can most likely repair it yourself. There are fairly easy procedures that most people are capable of repairing.

Diagnostic code b1322 what is it (sonata 2,4 GDI 2011)

B1322 WCS(Weight Classification System) ECU Defect -- still under warranty. The current OC system covered in this specification continually senses and classifies the front passenger side seat. The weight classification ECU or any of the sensors is replaced. The vehicle is brought to the repair shop due to an accident or a crash even though the severity seems to be minor. 2003 nissan altima airbag blinking. Engine is running rough. Plus check engine soon light is illiminated.

On most vehicles, the airbag light should come on for @6 seconds, and then go off if the system is working properly. If there is a fault or a problem in the system, the light will remain illuminated, or flash continuously. If the airbag light does not work properly, some vehicles have an audible tone that sounds indicating a problem with the airbag light system. When the light is on (or the tone is sounding), the airbag will NOT deploy, even in an accident. Most systems can only be diagnosed using a scanner designed for the airbag system, however some use flash codes to indicate the problem. The scanners at Auto Zone or the ones that sell for @ $50 will not access the airbag system, only the engine systems (check engine light).
This website gives you the procedure for diagnosing and resetting some systems without a scanner. Some vehicle manufacturers accommodate that (like Toyota, Lexus, Nissan, Infinity, Honda, Acura, Ford, Lincoln, Mazda & Mercury) and some require a scan tool. http://www.airbagsolutions.com/
